Hello seekers, this is an essential exercise for beginners. New to MettaSorcery? Do this one easy trick. For even though it is easy and basic, its power is actually great and it creates a solid base for the rest of the practice.
It goes like this:
In your everyday life, just pause for a minute and feel good about yourself. No matter what. Breathe in and think: "oh, this is so good to be able to breathe, what a blessing". Feel your heartbeat and think: "ah, my heart is pumping my blood, glorious, I'm so glad and happy" or consider how great it is to be you, aware and alive in general. Think: "I'm so grateful to be alive and aware at this moment".
It doesn't really matter what phenomena you pick as long as it is related to you - the underlying idea is to introduce a little self-love and thankfulness into your life every now and then. The more the merrier. Do it even against all odds - even if you don't feel particularly happy about yourself or your life. Force it a bit if you have to. Smile while doing it.
Practice it as a skill you want to improve.
Practice it at every opportunity you get.
Do it every time you recall "Hmm, what did that crazy guy on the internet say? Oh, yeah, to feel good in my own skin and be thankful that I’m alive". Do it when you wait for the bus when you stay in a queue in a shop, do it on a toilet and at the work. Drill it into your mind patterns like a dripping water tunneling through a solid rock.
I promise you that if you persist for a month, or better yet a few, depending on how often you practice, you will see your life improving in response. Things will just turn in your favor more and more.
It is a low-key magical passive ability. You tune your mind to love and thankfulness and your world will respond in kind. Once you turn it into a habit, it will be a steady stream of blessings. If you persist for a year, I guarantee that you will look back at the day you started with "wow, I didn't even think this would be possible."
It is a simple spell, but the results you can gain from it are amazing. Love yourself and be happy ;)
Well said, I use it myself in the sense that it can be worse and worse, but then I say to myself, today it is so beautiful, I am doing a lot of other things, albeit small, but I have done them and I am proud of it and I feel good about it. But this article described it perfectly beautiful reading just keep going
